Rehearsals: Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays--daytime and evenings
Below is a general rehearsal schedule. Please take a moment to review it to be sure that you can commit to the time requirement before preparing for auditions. Participation is a huge time commitment for actors and their families.
Because it is difficult to work around missing actors, it is preferred that actors be available for all rehearsals; since this is impractical, a few absences will be allowed. However, it is required that actors be present for all tech rehearsals and performances.
No person who is unavailable for technical rehearsals will be cast.
Why? Tech week is just different. It is vital time where we rehearse the show with all technical elements--costumes, lights, sound, set, makeup, etc., all in place. It is crucial that we have all the actors on deck so that they can be familiar with the brand new set, their costumes, and any changes, new cues, or any staging that gets changed. Tech is the only time for the stage crew to work out all the kinks and any unforeseen problems. It is very hectic, but without a doubt, the most important week of all, save performances.
Unless otherwise noted, all rehearsals and performances will be held at the Ferlazzo building in Woodbridge. Below is the general rehearsal schedule for planning purposes; it is subject to changes and additions based on the ongoing needs of the production. A specific cast schedule will be made in advance to rehearsals; generally actors are only called when necessary.
